Paul FulbrookPaul Fulbrook

Good Morning Friends,

I hope you’ve all had a great weekend, we’ve got a lot to talk about this week.

Well, what an exciting week it has been, both in the general Cardano ecosystem and within Cardax HQ.

Let’s dive straight in shall we?

General Cardano Ecosystem Update.

We’ll start with the obvious news. In the March edition of Cardano 360 (on the IOHK Youtube channel, Tim Harrison (VP Community & Ecosystem), teased us that something very exciting was happening.

At the end of the video, we were given a short clip to fuel our excitement. If you missed it (or just want to see it again), here it is!

Yes, that’s correct, Snoop Dogg is coming to Cardano. In a partnership with one of the biggest and most desired NFT collections in the Cardano ecosystem; Clay Nation.

Snoop will be launching his new NFT collectables, giving fans exclusive access to rare pieces and unreleased music.

In my opinion, it is things like this that will really start driving potential users outside of crypto to Cardano and apps built upon it, like Cardax DEX for example!

Cardax News.

It’s not just in the CNFT world where exciting things are happening, there are lots of great things happening much closer to home too.

Things have been incredibly busy at Cardax HQ recently, excitement feels like it is increasing on a daily basis!

Plutarch Update.

Our development teams, both the Cardax core team and MLabs have completed the translation of our smart contracts from Plutus tx to Plutarch, this has been a big task but an incredibly worthwhile one.

It was observed during in-house testing, that our smart contracts are now running much more efficiently. This really is very gratifying as it means all the hard work we have done is completely justified and will lead to a much better user experience when we launch in May.

Cardax DEX will be the first dApp of any kind to be built completely using the Plutarch language. A couple of other dApps have used it for very small parts of their code, but we will be the beneficiaries of the full 300% increase in efficiency.

We will be able to release these long-awaited metrics to you very soon.

This will become very apparent when you get to use the DEX. This brings us neatly to our next topic.

Tweag Audit

We have been working closely with Tweag this week, showing them exactly what we have done with regards to our Plutus to Plutarch translations and they have started their audit there.

In the coming two weeks, Tweag will continue their audit as planned. However, in addition to this, our Well-Typed team will be conducting our own internal audit.

We have decided to do this in direct response to the recent vulnerabilities that were uncovered on the Minswap DEX.

We are doing everything in our power to protect ourselves and our users from such issues.

Cardax Tech Update

Over the next two weeks, both front and back end teams will work in harmony to bring together all parts of the DEX. Once this is complete, we will be able to show you a full demo of everything the Cardax DEX V1 will be able to do.

This will be completed and available to you in perfect time for the launch of the public test net as planned.

Launch Date Timeline (unchanged)

Cardax Podcast

Last week also saw a new episode of the Cardax Podcast. Xian from our core team spent some time chatting with Marvin Bertin, CSO at Genius Yield. If you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check it out. Very interesting stuff.

This week we will be publishing my chat with the wonderfully engaging, Vedran  Vukman, CEO of Revuto. Be sure to check that one out on Wednesday.

Things are getting really close now, keep an eye on our social channels (links below) for the most up to date news.
